When it comes to listing some of the tough entrance exams in India, there are a lot of them that students appear every year and they achieve success with flying colors. Despite the fact that a lot of exams have been introduced in the past few years but the entrances which are conducted by the top-rated institutes of India have the same level of toughness. Thus, with the help of the entrance examinations, admissions will be given to the selected candidates in some top rated institutes across India.   1. IIT-JEE entrance

The Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination is considered one of the toughest exams which are very low success rate. The JEE entrance exam is used to eliminate candidates and select the appropriate ones in the top engineering institutes. The candidates can choose to opt for any of the fields such as technology, architecture, design or engineering according to their wish. For any Indian student, it is considered one of the highest achievements as only the meritorious students are able to crack the entrance. Most of the students are seen preparing for this exam after completing 10th standard exams. They do this in order to crack IIT-JEE entrance in the first attempt and get admission in the top engineering colleges across India.

  1. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE

If you are planning to study in IITs or IIS, you have to crack GATE. This entrance exam is one of the top-rated eligibility tests in which students from ME and M.Tech program appear. If you have good scores for your GATE 2019, it will be easier for you to get jobs in the PSUs operated by the Indian Government.

  1. UPSC Civil service exams

This is one such exam in which you have to cover up almost everything in order to get success in the entrance exam. The Civil service exams are regulated by the Union Public Service Commission. You have to clear the SCAT by clearing the both the preliminary and the mains exam. After you clear the main exams, you will be called for the interview round. One of the drawbacks of this exam is that you might have to wait for a long time in order to get the interview call.

  1. CAT entrance

This is also known by common entrance name in which the students appear when you wish to join any top rated management institutes or business schools including the IIMs. The test consists of three sections in which the logical reasoning, verbal ability and the interpretation ability of the student are analyzed. Other than IIMs, the MBA colleges also offer admission to the students depending on their CAT scorecard. Among the thousands of students who appear for the exam, only a few of them are able to crack it.

  1. National Institute of Design entrance

This is also known as the design aptitude test in which the best creativity students are selected via the entrance exam. If you are ultra-creative and can perceive the world from a different angle, you can opt for this entrance. This exam is conducted by the NID Admission Committee by which they test the aptitude, achievement, and motivation of the students. The shortlisted candidates have to go through further interview rounds in order to crack the exam.   

  1. AIIMS entrance exam

It is the medical entrance exam to be cleared by the students who wish to become a doctor. Just like GATE 2019, IIT-JEE, this exam is also one of the toughest entrances. If they are able to crack this exam, they need not pay lakhs of donations for getting an MBBS degree. The result of AIIMS is considered by medical colleges in India. Every year, students are seen fighting for a limited number of seats and achieve their goal of becoming a doctor.

  1. University grants commission national eligibility test or UGC-NET

This entrance exam is also known by the name NET, and it is regulated by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.  The entrance exam is funded by the HRD department of central government. If you wish to become a lecturer or become a research fellow, this is the best entrance exam to appear. If you are planning to opt for higher studies and continue with your research at the same time, this exam is suitable for you.

  1. CLAT or common law admission exam

For any graduate, post-graduate or under-graduate program like LLB or LLM, this entrance exam is the best option to opt for. This law admission test is taken by many students every year who wish to become a lawyer.

  1. NEET or national eligibility entrance test

This exam is conducted by central board of secondary education. By the help of this entrance, students can apply for medical and dental courses under both graduate and postgraduate degrees. There are cases when it is considered even tougher when compared to AIIMS or GATE 2019 exam. Therefore, students who are planning to appear for this exam have to study hard in order to get success in this entrance exam.

  1. XAT or Xavier aptitude test exam

This exam is conducted by Xavier’s Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur. In order to get admission in XAT Jamshedpur and other institutes, the XAT score card is required. In addition to this, the score can be used by more than 100 business school admission.
